Dr. Ruth Ouzts Moore

Dr. Ruth Ouzts Moore is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She has 18 years experience in mental health counseling with an area of specialty in counseling children and adolescents, particularly those who have experienced abuse and trauma. She has worked in community mental health agencies, private practice, and in-patient/residential facilities. She has also provided counseling, consultation, training, and crisis intervention in schools. Dr. Moore is a graduate of the Association for Play Therapy Leadership Academy and is also the President of the Southern Georgia Association for Play Therapy. She has also served on numerous committees for several professional organizations, including the American Counseling Association and the Association for Play Therapy. Dr. Moore is secretary of the Association for Creativity in Counseling.

Dr. Moore is a frequent presenter at the state, national, and international levels on topics such as parental alienation and high conflict divorce, abuse/trauma, play therapy, courtroom testimony, creative counseling techniques, and legal and ethical issues. Dr. ​​Moore has authored peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and other scholarly literature. She is called regularly to serve as an expert witness in criminal, chancery, circuit, and family court for her involvement in cases with children who have experienced physical and sexual abuse, parental alienation, and custody and visitation issues.
